Research overview

01 · ENERGY HARVESTING
Solar energy and photovoltaics
We study carrier transport and recombination in emerging semiconductors — including metal-halide perovskites — to make solar conversion more efficient and reliable.
02 · STRONG LIGHT–MATTER COUPLING
Exciton-polaritons and condensation
We are building a new set of optoelectronic devices based on photons hybridized with excitons. These could be used for quantum simulators, optical logic, and room temperature quantum technologies.

03 · QUANTUM SENSING
Defect utilization in quantum materials
We engineer defects in materials to build new quantum sensing platforms. We use these tools to explore new questions in semiconductor physics and material characterization.
